Managing Principal
Kathryn Byron
Before joining Byron Financial Insurance Services, Kathryn built her career at the intersection of dealmaking and strategy, working across stakeholders to structure and execute complex transactions. She brings that same discipline to how the firm serves its clients.
Her career began in investment banking at Bank of America, where she worked on mergers, acquisitions, and financing transactions for major technology companies. She went on to join Madison Square Garden’s corporate development team, working directly with the CEO and Board on strategic initiatives, including development of the Sphere in Las Vegas. She then joined SCOR Ventures, the venture arm of a global reinsurance company, where she managed investments and built firsthand knowledge of underwriting strategy and insurance innovation.
Her background in evaluating risk, structuring deals, and coordinating across stakeholder groups is what she brings to personal wealth planning today. She approaches each client’s situation with the same rigor: understand the full picture, identify where value is being created, lost, or at risk, bring the right people to the table, and execute with precision.
Kathryn holds a BA in Economics from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Columbia Business School. She is committed to expanding access to education and entrepreneurship, mentoring women startup founders and supporting the UN-recognized Women’s Entrepreneurship Day Organization. She supports youth-focused organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters and Make-A-Wish and serves on the board of her family foundation.
Originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, Kathryn divides her time between New York and the Carolinas. She enjoys sailing, tennis, and spending time with her husband, Jack.
